Hi! I'm Adrianne, owner of The Inspired Grain. I was born and raised in Hershey, PA (yes, where they make the chocolate!) and have lived in central Pennsylvania for most of my life. I currently live in Dillsburg, PA with my husband, son, and two German Shepherd mix dogs. I am a former elementary music teacher and still play/sing professionally on occasion, as well as serve on my church's worship team. I love Penn State and Steelers football, coffee dates with friends, music theater

After landing what I thought was my dream job (newsflash: it wasn't!), I found myself looking for a career where I could stay home with my special needs son. I started this business hand lettering on sheet music. I then bought my first Cricut machine to make t-shirts and earrings. Then one day, my husband and I fixed an old window in our shed and I decided to paint it with something pretty. It was at that very moment I fell in love with painting signs, and added my very first hand painted signs to the shop. Less than a year later, I purchased my first laser machine and that changed everything! I taught myself how to use power tools and now have an entire garage full of them. Over the last few years, I have thoroughly enjoyed learning how to work with wood, different woodworking species and techniques, and creating beautiful art from wood. I have found my happy place!

When I started this business, my goal was to INSPIRE HOPE. This will always be my main goal, which is why my business name changed in 2024. Many of the items I make are encouraging, affirming, and inspiring...with a good dose of humor and sarcasm! In a world where so much is out of our control, there is one thing we can always hold onto - HOPE.
